Overview
The first publication to use the word Hello was the Norwich Courier on October 18, 1826. Honoring this legacy, the Hello, Norwich campaign was created to promote the City of Norwich’s history, economic development and tourism.
By beginning with Hello, the brand identity initiates a variety of conversations to nurture stories of success and pride for Norwich residents, businesses and newcomers.

Design Process:

Logo + System
The "Hello, _____" is a dynamic design system that can be used to fill in characters of history, economic initiatives, or city events. The orientation of "Hello,____" honors the first appearance of hello written in the same system: "Hello, Jim!" The deep red plays on the historic brick buildings in the city as well as Norwich's signature color of red, as it is known as, "The Rose of New England."
